Theophany

Welcome to Theophany, an ongoing series of striking portraits wherein deities from a parallel universe reveal themselves to humankind who, over time, has replaced their divinity with machinery.

Inspiration for this set of paintings stemmed from Visaic’s observation of the continued impact of technology on human decisions. From self-driving cars to automated customer-service stations, these subtle shifts in control were the catalyst for the return of these cosmic entities.

And now they’ve made it their sole purpose to remind humanity that true freedom is bought with faith, not glass and silicone.
